The HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web is the ideal printer for those who have plenty of digital photos to share with family and friends. This all-in-one printer can print, scan, and also offers direct printing from memory cards and digital cameras. It also features built-in WiFi networking and can be easily installed. What is amazing about this model is that it enables you to work with digital images directly via the operation screen.

The printer is easy to setup with multiple connection options via the USB, WiFi, or Ethernet. When the printer is on, any PC with wireless networking can detect it and install the driver automatically. The HP Photosmart Premium offers up to 9600 x 2400 dpi resolution for color printing on HP’s photographic paper, and 1200 dpi on other papers. It also has a 600 x 600 dpi black resolution. In black and white mode the printer can turn out 33 pages per minute. Color printing can be achieved at the rate of 32 pages per minute. The scanner has a resolution of 4800 dpi and can accommodate paper of up to 8.5 by 11 inches in size. Photographs can easily be scanned and copied, as the printer also handles 4×6 photo paper right up to 8.5 x 11 sheets, which can print full bleed images.

The HP Photosmart has a PictBridge interface that enables printing directly from any camera with PictBridge technology, eliminating the need for a computer. With the TouchSmart sreen you can edit and crop photos without having to upload images onto your computer. There are a number of utilities to adjust image brightness and sharpness. The ‘Quick Forms’ button enables you to print games and generate forms from the printer screen. You can have a calendar page or a to-do list in seconds without the need for a PC. Your kids will love the idea that the printer can print out Sudoko puzzles and other games for them. The HP Photosmart is Energy Star certified and is 10 % more energy efficient. If you are an amateur photographer, this is just the perfect printer for you.

Some users have however complained that the onscreen apps take a good while to be accessed. They also complain that the touch screen is slow to respond, no auto document feeder, scanner bed is too small, and applications tend to freeze up.
