The Natural Alternative
We all know that natural things are much better for us than man-made, man manufactured rubbish. A natural alternative to kerosene heating oil would clearly be a better option. So why is it, then, that so many of us pass the natural stuff by and go for the crap? Ok, you get one point if you said “It’s the price, organic stuff is more expensive”. And you get another if you said “the taste”. Because, let’s be absolutely honest, some of the manufactured stuff tastes better.
Here’s an example: last week I went to the supermarket with the intention of purchasing myself some environmentally sound, natural toothpaste. I’d been using regular stuff for a while and a friend had suggested I try the natural alternative out. So I did as he said and purchased the finest natural toothpaste there was. Then, that evening, I used it and got one hell of a shock: the toothpaste tasted bad–
Describing precisely why it tasted so bad isn’t easy with this limited space, but here’s the crux of it: it lacked any refreshing taste, didn’t feel like toothpaste as I knew it and, to make matters worse, had a weird grainy texture that was at odds with the inside of my mouth. In short, it tasted and looked as though it was something they might use in the building trade to fill holes in walls. After that I didn’t bother, natural or not I threw the offender in the bin.
Now, times my experience by a few million, and it’s no wonder everyone goes for the man-made rubbish! A suggestion to you if you’re in the natural stuff game: make it taste good and we will surely buy it!
