That’s Not a Good Idea…
Many of us have ideas for different things now and again. Sometimes they can be really useful and occasionally one of us will come up with a truly life-changing invention such as the automatic washing machine, the internal combustion engine or a singing plastic fish that you can hang from your front room wall. However, most of the time we will discard the very same thoughts within a few seconds because we can see they are simply pants. This website is a showcase of ideas that should have been incinerated immediately after their conception, but were carried through to fruition instead….
It is called ‘Wacky Inventions’ with the emphasis being on ‘wacky’. If you are looking for the latest super-cool gadget or time-saving idea, then you will certainly not find it on here. This space is strictly reserved for the most ridiculous innovations you are ever going to see (think crazy designer beach towels wacky). You don’t believe me, eh? Check out the human-head-shaped knife block and judge for yourself.
Okay, so there are some hilarious inventions on this website, but it is a little worrying when you think about all of those responsible. You could be standing right next to the creator of the ‘Scentuelle Libido Patch’ every morning at the bus-stop and you would never even know! These people walk among us. And that’s a rather worrying thought, isn’t it?
There are all manner of gems/turds to be discovered on the pages of ‘Wacky Inventions’. Have a look at the ‘Hamster Shredder’ (not as grisly as it sounds), ‘The Healthy Handle’ and the totally inane range of ‘Sideways Printed Books’ (designed for reading in bed, for God’s sake).
The other worrying element to all this is that inventors actually spent ages working on these ideas. Their friends and family must have told them their project was crap at some point, but they have just carried on regardless. I suppose it’s the same as those saddos you get on talent shows; even when they are laughed off the stage they are still convinced that they are truly gifted people.
