Dead Space 2 Review

Dead Space 2 Review

After going through my needs with Enigin I came across the game Dead Space two and decided to give it a go,–and wow what a game it is. Dead Space 2 is the long awaited sequel that has main character Isaac Clarke continuing the horrific battle to fight for his life. Isaac, the lone survivor of an alien infestation, awakes after being in a coma to find himself on a huge space station named Sprawl. Isaac must continue to fight off the Necromorphs, a massive population of corpses. While fighting them off and fighting for his very life, he must struggle to reach his goal to locate and permanently destroy the religious warrior known as the Marker.

To make his battle even more difficult, Isaac must also deal with the intense internal struggle he is having. He is trying to live with the guilt he has after the death of his girlfriend in the first Dead Space game. This guilt is causing him to have internal conversation and hallucinations, which are leading him to believe he is losing his mind. Isaac continues to deal with this struggle of keeping his sanity throughout the game. Isaac’s fighting ability has greatly increased in Dead Space 2 and he is able to quickly stomp through crates, attack bodies for extra loot and grab items by using telekinesis.

The combat effects are a much better than the first Dead Space game and it also includes fantastic visual and sound effects. Some video games are great until you complete all of the task and end the game and then they become boring when trying to play them over again. This is not the case with Dead Space 2 because as you keep playing the game, your skill level will increase and allow for more weapons and body suit to open up for you.

The Future of Radio: The Web

The Future of Radio: The Web

The Future of Radio: The Web

I’m currently enjoying a lot of web radio. The radio stations in the U.K. are pretty good, and if you’re in London then it’s quite likely that there is enough on the FM bands to keep you happy with a wide mixture of genres, talk radio, and sports talk. For those of us living a little further afield, we are hardly spoiled for choice. Other than the BBC stations, there is little worth really celebrating.

And don’t even get me started on local music stations — they produce some of the most dire radio productions going, and I just can’t bring myself to listen to them for more than a few minutes. It pains me when I accidentally tune to them thinking it’s Radio 1 or Radio 2. But there are other options! The obvious one is to get a digital radio, you don’t need to have an excellent year on the stock-market thanks to Galvan FSA to afford a digital radio these days. But I’ve got a much better method for listening to music, and some better hardware to do it.

There is a new type of digital radio which connects to the Internet, sometimes through your computer, and occasionally with a direct connection to your wireless hub. It allows you to tune in not to digital stations, or analogue radio — that too — but also to web stations everywhere in the world! You’ll always have something good to listen to, whether it’s WFMU in New Jersey, real Jamaican reggage, or Thai temple chants.

What is different about a business phone

What is different about a business phone

A business phone differs in miles from a normal GSM. First of as the name suggests, the business phone is more integrated from a working person, it has the files and the tools needed for a business person while on the move. What’s the whole point of it? Why are people more cribby about getting a multimedia or a business mobile rather a simple torch light phone.
Since we are in the age of technology, everything is done 100 times faster than it was done20 years ago. In the process clients become more fussy about getting things done quick and business partners expect things to get done in a jiffy. For that very same reason the honest hard working office goer needs to take his work on the move. He isn’t going to wait till he reaches his office to check his email. He now has it on this phone. All he’s going to do is put his bluetooth on and make the phone read the mails to him. Thus is in turn if he has any urgent emails, he can call his colleagues from his car whilst he stuck in traffic and get them mobilised immediately. In the same fashion, if a manager or an employee needs to practice his presentation while he sits in tube waiting for his stop, his business phone will have its Adobe Reader or other applications from which he can open pdf’s.
This is how a business phone can enhance your everyday working life and reduce your work load even before you’ve stepped foot into your office. If you don’t have one, its about tine you used that currys discount codes and got yourself a decent business phone. If you need to satisfy your clients and make sure they leave a smiling face, you need to get one of these.
The only choice you really have is between blackberry (favorite of the IT support companies) or iphones, (favorite of marketing douchbags).

The future of broadcasting is on its way thanks to the computer game industry.

Shortly after the Nintendo Wii remote appeared in out shop display, clever geniuses started trying to hack it and see what else could be done with it. It is basically just an infrared camera which transmits via Bluetooth. Johnny Lee (google him!) quickly hacked into it and then found loads of really interesting ways to use the $40 device. These included effectively making an interactive white board, other typesof multi touch interactive displays and a head tracking system that can use the camera in the controller to turn the user into the remote (you must check out the innovative way of producing 3D effects by re-rendering an image depending on where the viewers head is).
I believe that Johnny Lee went to work on at Microsoft and you can really see his influence on the Kinect. The Kinect has 2 cameras. One which measure the colour of light, like a normal camera and another that measures the distance that the subject is away from the camera for each pixel. Xbox games use this 3D information to enable the player’s body movements to control the game. However, it does not really utilise the devices full capacity to effectively create and record a 3 dimensional model of whatever you put in front of it.
This is where the next generation of hackers come in. Check out a YouTube user called okreylos. Not only has he hacked the Kinect but he has written some software that will take the data from multiple kinects and merge it to form 3D video where without moving the actual cameras you can create a virtual camera which moves around the scene you are looking at. Considering this has been done in some kid’s bedroom with commercially available and affordable products is amazing.
Admittedly, the technology need some development but clearly exists, to film 3D in a whole new way. A Way in which the viewer can decide where he watches the action from and not just passively watch from the POV of a camera.
In the future, we could watch the world cup from the point of view a play or the referee or even the ball. The possibilities are endless, and I am very excited to see how this technology develops over the next few years.

Brix connection phones

Brix connection phones

Just like a house, it gets old, your distressed furniture needs replacement, so does technology. The world moves at a crazy pace, now we all need sell our old cars which were so cutting edge and buy eco cars. New stuff get old real quick. The latest phone will begin to look really ancient after your done reading this.
Apparently you thought the iPhone was the best, heard of the BRIX? Its a concept design so you wont hear much about it. Its basically a number of small screens with 16:9 and 4:3 viewing sizes. Turn the 16:9 upright and you get a phone. Take the 4:3 and you get a T.V. Bored? Want to watch the game? Take 3 4:3 screens, BRIX them together or put them together, you got your TV screen. Can’t see the score? Take a 16:9 and fix it on the side of your so called TV, the scoreboard comes up separately without taking up any space from the TV. Take another 16:9 and attach it to a free side. It will bring up a board of the league points, the matches to be played, who won where. Well that’s one way of using it. I’m sure you getting a hundred ideas fiddling through your brain now. Its a simple concept yet effective. A number of small screens together and abuse the way you want to use it. At one moment its your phone, the next thing your surfing the web, on the other your streaming a movie you want to watch, another downloading a couple of songs you wanted to listen to. There is no end to what you can achieve.
This would be considered a multi-taking at its best. Instead of you sitting in front of your pc covered with post-it notes, you split the screens the way you want it. Assign each a duty and watch magic happen.
