Why the iPhone works.

Why the iPhone works.

My mate recently got the new HTC, it was touch screen and the user interface was pretty much the same as the iPhone. Nevertheless it wasn’t quite up to the standard of Apple’s Smartphone, for one fundamental reason. It was still too over-complicated.

Apple seems to have one premise when creating their product – make it simple. This is clearly shown in the iPhone 4 due to the logical motions of touch screen, easy user interface and layout. With a grand total of just five buttons (yes, i counted them…FIVE!!) the iPhone is ridiculously simple, brilliant and contemporary.

Other smart phones such as the Blackberry and HTC are good phones; don’t get me wrong, I personally own a Blackberry. They too are easy to use and one can generally get the hang of the interface. But with the iPhone, I find that my grandmother could use it, and you would only have to call an it support company in the direst of circumstances.

Another great feature of the iPhone is that it can double up as an iPod. Most people use iPod’s now, and it is really quite handy to be able to carry only one device instead of several. The only downside to this is that your battery will deplete much faster, so be careful.

With hundreds off apps there is actually an app for everything when it comes to the iPhone. Whether it is for getting to “A” to “B”, finding the nearest restaurant or browsing the web, the iPhone is versatile and ever evolving.
